About the company
We are a consulting firm with a focus on training in Customs Principles and Practices. Our target group being clearing agent companies and other interested organizations, procurement professionals, school leavers, interested members of the public etc. Other services include training needs analysis, curriculum development, course design and evaluation.
We also provide consultancy in compliance and dispute resolution with respect to Customs matters.
Epoch Business Consultancy and Training Services Limited is a newly established corporate entity with a headquarters in Lusaka - Lusaka Province. The company's main business involves the provision of training services to any public organization and individuals;and consultancy services in Customs matters and related tax matters. The business has been established by three directors. All the three directors have over sixty 60 years of combined experience in Tax administration having worked for the Zambia Revenue Authority in various departments including Customs ,Value Added Tax(VAT),Tax compliance,Investigations and Learning and Development.
Epoch Business consultancy and training Services is intended to be a subscriber to the World Customs organization(WCO) Academy.

Delivery of training in Customs and Value Added Tax (VAT)related courses
The company intends to establish a performance management system that will ensure that, staff at all levels, exert efforts to achieve key performance indicators and ultimately corporate objectives. The company will be subscribing to the World Customs Organization (WCO) Academy to continue building capacity of the trainers to keep abreast with the current trends in guaranteeing quality service delivery. The company therefore intends to do the following:
Formulate a training strategy to facilitate good staff training especially under the WCO Academy.
•Always ensure availability and the proper use of appropriate training equipment.
•Periodic engagement with clients to fully appreciate their needs and feedback. •Periodic refreshers with fellow trainers on the current trends.
Business Organization:
The leadership of the business will be provided by the three directors under the following organizational structure, Director Management (who will be the Managing Director managing the business, , personnel and other resources), Director learning and Development ( responsible for implementing training programs) and lastly Director Liaison services and marketing (to be the contact person for the business , liaising with clients and potential facilitators and marketing the company). The number of employees: Initially the company will employ a messenger and a receptionist/office manager, altogether two (2).
Technical Capacity The three directors who are the core facilitators , have a wide experience in customs and VAT training and a combined experience in Customs administration of over sixty (60) years. The Director learning and Development also brings with him a very strong teaching background even in training at the Zambia Revenue Authority. He is a curriculum expert as well as an auditor. The third Director has a very rich background in Customs work having risen to the position of a middle Manager in Revenue Authority. the Customs Services Division of the Zambia.
